Universal Testing Machines
Automated Systems
Tinius Olsen is excited to introduce the next evolution in materials testing: Scalable automation in your test lab for control of your materials, product quality and performance to deliver a step change in productivity and profitability. TO have developed scalable technology blocks to automate tensile, compression, flexural, impact, melt flow and hardness tests. TO systems can deal with low milli=Newton forces to high thousands of kNs and process from 30 to 1250 tests per day ensuring a huge range of deployable applications.
Melt Flow Indexers
Tinius Olsen’s MP1200 meets, and surpasses, all the requirements of Procedure A and Procedures B, C and D of ASTM D1238.
It is a superior, advanced, melt indexing system that is available in either manual or motorized configurations and features a new three-zone band heater with three controllers that result in unparalleled temperature control of the furnace.
Impact Testers
Tinius Olsen manufactures high and low capacity pendulum impact testers, most of which can be easily changed from a Charpy to an Izod configuration or even to a tensile impact configuration. High capacity testers are designed primarily for determining the impact resistance of metals and comply with the specifications outlined in ASTM E23, BS EN ISO 148-3, BS EN ISO 148-2 and ISO 442. Low energy pendulum impact tester are designed primarily for either plastics or metals impact testing.
Tinius Olsen is the leading specialist manufacturer and supplier of static tension and/or compression materials testing machines from 1kN to 2000kN. Our machines are designed for use in research departments and quality control departments to measure the strength and product performance of materials. Using Tinius Olsen equipment it is possible to perform such tests on raw materials such as metals, polymers, textiles, rubbers, adhesives and food as well as finished components.
Tinius Olsen offers many types of hardness testers that can rapidly and accurately determine the hardness value of a wide variety of materials including metals, plastics, large parts and small precision parts. Whether you need bench-mounted testers, large scale floor-mounted testers or dedicated testers that are integrated into your production lines, we can help you with your application.
Software, Extensometers and Grips
Tinius Olsen provides software to meet your R&D and quality control needs, working simply, efficiently and accurately. Horizon makes all your testing effortless and is supplied as standard with the full database of tests pre-loaded eliminating the need to purchase new routines as your requirements evolve.TO offers wide range of extensometers based on your testing needs including video, optical and physical contact with specimen. In addition a wide range of Grips and Accessories are available.
